The Cattows Farm Shop and Pick Your Own
The Cattows Farm Shop is stylish and contemporary, yet with a rural edge that embraces the farming history of the Ludlam family. Situated on a 300 acre working farm in the heart of The National Forest.
Our philosophy is to give customers a warm, friendly and complete experience, whether it be buying produce in the farm shop, relaxing in the tea room/restaurant and taking in the stunning views or exploring the woodland walks.
We always offer our customers a large selection of home grown or reared produce, complimented by a wide range of superb local and regional products to add variety and interest.
The Cattows Farm Shop was opened in late 2005 in what was a natural progression to the already established practices of the farm. Having been open to the public for pick your own strawberries since 1987, and later asparagus, we have also sold potatoes and autumn bedding plants from the farm gate.
In 2004 we sold our first Christmas trees, and we suddenly realised that we were serving the public more and more throughout the year. The decision was taken to fill in the seasonal gaps with other produce and open The Cattows Farm Shop throughout the year.
A wide range of soft fruit and vegetables are grown on the farm ranging from strawberries, raspberries and other soft fruits to pumpkins. Strawberries usually begin in mid-June along with gooseberries. Raspberries and currants begin picking early July.
Our pick your own sunflower season begins mid to late July.
The farm shop also boasts an array of award winning jams, chutneys, milk, cheese, eggs and cakes from small specialist producers both locally and a little further afield.
